Thursday

Breakfast: Cheerios with sliced banana and soy milk.

Lunch: My friend A. brought me a breakfast taco, but I wasn’t hungry for it until lunch. I think it has ham and egg and cheese, and it’s in a handmade corn tortilla. I don’t know where she got it, but it was GOOD.

Afternoon snack: I didn’t take a real lunch, so I decided mid-afternoon to pick up pica fruit (fresh cut fruit with chile and lime) for myself, A. and S., since we had been talking about it earlier that day. I went to my favorite fruteria, F&F Fruit Cups.

This is a rusa. It’s made with tons of pineapple and orange, fresh juices, grapefruit Jarritos (Mexican soda), and chile powder.

This is a fruit cup with pineapple, banana and watermelon, topped with chile salt and lime juice. I drank some of the rusa and nibbled on a bit of the fruit, then brought the rest home to Justin, because he LOVES pica fruit. 🙂

Dinner: macaroni and cheese with turnips and sweet potatoes; salad with radishes, avocado, sunflower seeds, and dressing. I decided to use up my Farmhouse turnips and a sweet potato by mixing them with pasta and cheese. You really can’t go wrong. Even our friend Bud ate it and loved it, and he hates veggies. 🙂

  1. Is it weird that I love looking at what you eat? Seriously. I think I like it because it gives me ideas as to what I might fix for myself. Because of your pics, I have been putting lots of fried eggs on things. I guess I am your food stalker.

    1. Not weird at all! I’m glad you’re on the fried egg kick – I could put a fried egg on just about anything and be happy. Runny yolks make the world go ’round. 🙂
