A few things on my to-do list: read my friend Steve’s article in Best Food Writing 2011 (!!!); write to pen pals; figure out schedule for Austin Film Festival.
Had lunch with lovely friends at Buenos Aires Cafe. I have no idea how they make beef tenderloin so darn tender.
Bela visits us every day now. He and Roux are friends through the screen.
Spent the evening at Contigo.
Erin and Justin spent a lot of time picking the perfect mescal.
Erin was impeccably dressed, as always.
I chose the Old-Fashioned as my drink for the evening.
We had olives, pigs-in-blankets, white bean dip, ox tongue sliders, crispy green beans, blueberry shortcake, and a smore (with sweetened lardo instead of marshmallow creme).
If every Monday was like this, Mondays would rock.
