Things I made today

We covered our little IKEA table with this lovely oilcloth! I love it so much – it’s pretty and different and easy to clean.

I also cooked up some Brussels sprouts…

I basically made this recipe, and tossed it with pasta. Holy smokes, it was good.

And it looked so lovely on our table! 🙂

  1. What did you use to keep the oilcloth down? Staples? Some kind of glue? Tape?

    1. First we secured it tightly with gaffer’s tape, wrapping it like a present. Then we re-attached the legs, which are held in with screws, so it’s kind of doubly-held. 🙂

  2. We made brussels sprouts last night, the first since last winter. Loved them so much, especially because I like to rip off the outer leaves and roast those along with the other parts and they get all crispy and caramelized. Yum!

    1. Mmm, caramelized bits.

  3. OUTS! I’ve been thinking about your INs post from yesterday… I feel like that all the time, especially when traveling like this! Off to write. (We’re only 6 weeks behind, gulp.)

    1. You’re right – you guys are busting at the seams with INs right now! xoxo

  4. And where did you get the oilcloth? I love it and need some for an “under the high chair” mat. 🙂

    1. I got it at Tesoros on South Congress. They had a lot of different patterns/colors, right at the front of the store near the door. 🙂
