on a long walk
Justin and I decided to take advantage of our one sunny day yesterday, and went for a long walk. I took my cameras.

etsy love
So I bought a new sleeve for my Kindle from Sakizome on etsy, and oh my goodness, just look how it was packaged! It took about a week and a half for it to arrive from Singapore, but it was worth the wait. The sleeve is so cute and well made, and it fits my Kindle perfectly. I originally bought this case, but I didn’t like it because it smelled really strongly of leather, it’s too heavy, and it turns out that I prefer to read my Kindle as is, without a case. So I just needed a simple sleeve to protect it when I put it in my purse.
Anyway, my new red riding hood case came wrapped in tissue with a little sticker, tied with ribbon, and slipped into a cellophane bag with a button bookmark, a discount postcard, a tiny thank you tag, and a handwritten thank you letter from the vendor. Even better was that the stationary AND the tape on the outside of the package matched my red riding hood Kindle case. Talk about attention to detail! Such a fun mail day. 🙂

I love these guys.
She likes to hide in the curtains.
He’s so sweet. Most of the time.
I like it when he sleeps on his head.

Kale rocks.
Tonight we made this recipe with our Farmhouse kale, and it was so good. (I threw in some carrots for good measure.) We also gobbled up some of our red-leaf lettuce, carrots, and avocados in a salad… I’m still loving getting fresh produce delivered to my door every week. 🙂
