Things & Stuff

  • October 12

I missed class and the film. But being alone was the perfect medicine.

Comments are off for a bit.

Do you guys read Habit? It’s one of my favorite blogs. I love the idea of posting a photo, then some words, which may not have anything to do with the photo, but sum up what the day was like. I might start doing that every now and then, when I’m not feeling wordy.

All of these photos were taken with my Yashica. The top three are from a walk with Justin in our neighborhood. The bottom two are from our trip to Blanco State Park this past weekend. It was so serene and relaxing. I’m ready for more of that nature stuff.

  • Music Monday

Hola, everybody! I’m feeling better today. My allergies are quite horrible, but otherwise I’m feeling good. I think that being out in the cornfield on Saturday, in all that dust and weedy stuff, wreaked havoc on my sinuses. But I’m taking some meds and hoping that it will clear up soon.

Hope you all had a great weekend! I’m going to battle this Monday with some happy songs. 🙂

A few images from a recent dinner at Bombay Bistro. Everything was delicious.

Yesterday I took a half-day off work and we drove to Blanco. We toured the Real Ale Brewery and tasted some beer (Firemans #4 is still my favorite), then laid out on a blanket at Blanco State Park. I dipped my feet in the water and it was cooooooold. Then we visited Justin’s parents, and spent the night with them. This morning they made us breakfast, then we drove on to Marble Falls, to visit the harvest festival at Sweet Berry Farm. It was a zoo – three bajillion people and their kids running around and taking photos and buying pumpkins and taking hay rides and painting faces. We went into the giant Texas-shaped cornfield maze, but didn’t make it very far before we got overheated and decided to head home. I took some photos with my Yashica, hopefully they turn out well.

Now we’re snuggled on the couch watching football and dozing off. It’s been a great weekend so far, and it’s not even over yet!

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend, too.

Hi internets. I’m tired. I don’t feel great. I would like to crawl into bed and just stay there for a few days. Still, I am thankful.

    Today I am thankful for:

    • Justin
    • Chocolate
    • Pajamas
    • Macaroni and cheese
    • The quilt my grandma made me
    • Weekend plans
