4th of July Weekend video

Hola internets! Here’s a 5-minute video mashup of our weekend, if you’re at all interested (and I completely understand if you’re not). 🙂

So I’m slowly learning how to use iMovie… next I have to figure out how to SPEAK LOUDLY so the microphone picks up what I’m saying. I’ve increased the microphone volume as high as it will go, but it’s still hard to hear some of it. Maybe next time.

Also, can I just say that it is SO HARD for me to post this, with myself actually talking in the video? I much prefer being behind the camera! I’m forcing myself to post it, though, so that eventually (hopefully) I will be more accepting of my voice and face and hair and such. 🙂

    I’m going to have to watch this video whenever I find myself missing you guys… or Austin. I love that Roux does the nervous lick lick that our cats do!

    anyway, you needn’t have worried–you were delightful, and hubby IS a cutie. you can tell he’s a sweet one, love that quality in a man… and so right for sweet PocoCocoa!

    enjoyed the chance to see your world like this. the only note i would make is not necessarily the volume of your voice, but the ups and downs between music and voice. otherwise, it was a neat peak into things, but:

    AS ALWAYS, YOU HAVE MADE ME HUNGRY!!!

    happy belated 4th to you and yours.

    p.s. your parents back yard is so homey and cozy, it makes me want to have a siesta from here ; )

    Michelle, I wouldn’t doubt that their house was on TV… it’s so freakin’ cool. I wish it wasn’t so dark inside that night so I could have showed you how cool the interior is.

    Rachel, your grin is super-cute (and not at all fake)! I’m so glad to have seen it all weekend, and am already anxiously awaiting seeing it again.

    Weezy, so good to hear from you! You’ve got it exactly right… my husband is the sweetest, kindest, funnest, cutest man EVER. And yes, my parents have done wonders with their back yard/patio… it’s like an oasis in the middle of dry west Texas.
