Dinner at Parkside

Wednesdays were made for oysters and champagne at Parkside. We ate there last week. Again.

Fried calamari to start us off.

The small platter: three types of oysters and three tastings from the raw bar.

More oysters for Justin.

Mac and cheese… one of my favorite versions in town.

Dessert: strawberry shortcake.

Everything looked so pretty there.

I couldn’t stop taking photos. 🙂

  1. Love Parkside! I think we’ve eaten their at least six times now. So far it’s the only eating place we’ve found on 6th street that deserved multiple visits. One bad thing though, is every cocktail i’ve tried at Parkside has been quite terrible.

    1. I have to agree with you, David… I always just get some bubbly or a glass of wine. I wish the cocktails were better!

  2. Mmm, mac and cheese! One of the best comfort foods there is. The food looks gorgeous! I like their interior. 🙂

    1. I loooooove mac and cheese. I used to make a really easy microwave version that was basically just velveeta and milk and noodles. I’ll have to look for that recipe… 🙂

  3. Great shots! We were there last night for Tribeza’s Supper Club & Shawn served a delicious multi-course dinner…ceviche, oysters, halibut, steak…amazing! Wish we had a camera like yours!

    1. Thanks, Cat! Any multi-course meal from Shawn HAS to be awesome. 🙂

  4. You are always eating good food. I am jealous.

    1. 🙂 If you’re ever in Austin, let me know… we can eat great food together!

    1. Me too! I love the brick walls, the cool glassware, the hardwood floors. And the mac and cheese. 🙂
