At B’s recent pool party…
I am so in love with my Polaroid. I still find myself reluctant to use up the film, though. It’s really hard for me to start an art/craft… I love photography, and I’m having a lot of fun with it, but I am still quite conservative with it, and I feel like I just don’t have the eye for photos that others have. Justin says that I just have to find my own style of photography… and I suppose I do have a style, but I see other people’s photos and feel so far behind. Such is the life of a perfectionist… always so impatient with myself.
In other news, I went back to yoga tonight. It’s been years since I’ve been, and I didn’t realize how much I’ve missed being on my mat. I tried a Bikram yoga class today, and although it was challenging and rekindled my interest in yoga, I don’t think it’s the style of yoga for me. I prefer the sequences in Ashtanga yoga, so I think I’ll head to an Ashtanga class tomorrow. I like that Ashtanga offers a set series of postures, so that each class, I know what to expect, and I can see my progress or challenges clearly. Bikram does this too, but I didn’t enjoy its series of postures as much. Also, in Ashtanga, although the room is kept warm, it isn’t heated to such an excruciating degree as Bikram. I thought I might faint in there today. 🙂
I’m also learning French! Finally! I bought the Rosetta Stone program, and I’m loving it. I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to start… I’ve wanted to learn French for years.
Let’s see, what else… my niece is getting married! I am having a hard time accepting this… I still see her as that tiny tot who followed me around during my teenage years, and now she’s an adult, getting married. Nothing makes me feel older than seeing the kids around me grow up.
Okay, kids, it’s time for bed. I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday!
