Movie Moments: Amelie (part 2)

So I’ve shared some of my favorite drink moments in Amélie, and now, here are some of my favorite food moments!

Sweet cherry earrings…

Raspberry fingers…

Dipping your fingers into a sack of lentils…

Cracking open the top of a creme brûlée…

Shopping for the perfect endive at Mssr. Collignon’s shop…

Slurping soup from enormous spoons at your father’s place (of course with a carafe of red wine nearby)…

A simple dinner for one – pasta with cheese and butter, and a simple salad…

Amélie baking her “famous plum cake“…

Dominique Bretodeau’s perfectly roasted chicken, which he carves and enjoys slowly, starting with the oysters (yum)…

And of course, the grocery surprise that Lucien brings Mssr. Dufayel – caviar, foie gras, and champagne.

Ah, Amélie. A feast for the eyes.

  1. Ah, yes! This is one of my favorite movies also. I think there’s a lot about this movie that appeals to the senses, and I’m a very sense-driven person. Then again, I may be fair to say that most foodies are. Keep the Amelie posts coming. 🙂
