The Hummus Bowl


There are a billion versions of the grain bowl / Buddha bowl / nourish bowl / veggie bowl. This one is our current favorite.

It’s mostly based on this version from Good Eatings – but basically, it’s:

  • A big wide bowl, smeared with whatever hummus we’re into at the moment
  • Roasted veggies (tossed with oil, Ras el Hanout, salt, pepper)
  • Cooked grain – whatever we have at the moment
  • Fresh greens
  • Lemon
  • A drizzle of some sort of tahini-sauce-mixture (like this one)

It’s just so delicous. I really think it’s that smear of hummus – it adds so much flavor and a smoothness to what would otherwise be a bowl of randomly mixed things. So good. 🙂
