Letters #11

Dear Husband,

Recently someone told us we looked like college students, and asked how we stay so young. I think it’s because of you, and your love for life, and your happiness, and your laughter. Thanks.

Dear God,

Thank you thank you thank you thank you for the upcoming week of temperatures in the low 90s. To me, it’s autumn, and I am happy.

Dear Eat  Your Books,

Sometimes I forget I have you as a resource. Yesterday I remembered, and you’ve made meal planning infinitely easier, once again.

Dear October,

You are my favorite month of all. You will bring autumn breezes, and possibly the need for sweaters and scarves, and the Austin Film Festival, and Halloween, and plump oysters, and Supper Club, and pumpkins on the stairs, and pumpkins in my belly, and long walks around town, and the ability to bake goodies without making the house unbearably hot, and overall great things. I plan to experience you to the fullest.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

    1. Thanks! I didn’t bake anything this weekend, but we did do a big autumn-cleaning, and now I feel a bit more bake-y. 🙂

  2. I hope October and sweaters and scarves are in store for you soon Crystal. Though I think it has to get much below 90 for that to happen….

    1. Thank you! I’ll vicariously through you for now.

  3. I’m with you, Crystal: Fall rocks!! Can’t wait to head to New England again…maybe next year….

    1. Oh, me too! I had hoped to go this year – we wanted to go to the Wellfleet Oyster festival, but it’s in a couple of weeks and we just didn’t it together. Next year for sure!
