Letters #2

Dear Coffee,

I think our relationship has moved to the next level. I’d like to see you every morning, if that’s okay with you.

Dear God,

I am overwhelmed with all the happiness you’ve been giving me lately. Thank you for sending all these bits of goodness to me – I really needed them.

Dear Husband,

In the past few days, you made me breakfast, lunch and dinner; you moved furniture around so that I could have my very own desk; you did the laundry, scooped the kitty litter, and took out the trash; you went grocery shopping with me and carried all the heavy things on our walk home; you made me laugh and massaged my shoulders and kept me calm. I am so lucky to have you to spoil me rotten. In return, tonight I’m making champagne cocktails and chocolate chip cookies for dinner. Enjoy.

Dear Birthday,

You rocked. See ya next year.

Dear Starbucks Barista J.,

Thank you for knowing my order before I even say it out loud. I love being your regular.

Hope you all are having a great week!

  1. Dear Crystal,

Your blog rocks, and you brighten up my day, every day. When I see the pair of cute little red shoes in my browser window your face pops up in my mind, and then I scroll down and of course see Justin’s face… in the corner. And then I see the food that you eat, remind myself not to be disordered again, and then I love you all the more for it.

    Love, Wei-Wei

PS: I’m absolutely in love with these letter posts.

    1. Wei-Wei, you’re the best! Thank you for your sweet, sweet note.

  2. and justin sounds just like my husband, how lucky are we, really? 😉
happy belated birthday, dear crystal! all the best always! xx

    1. Thank you! And yes, we are very lucky to have found our gentlemen. 🙂

  3. Hi Crystal,

Philis just shared about your book. It was so exciting for me to find it on Amazon and purchase it!!! Congratulations!! I have thoroughly enjoyed your blog;it is informative and inspiring. It warms my heart to read the lovely way Justin treats you, but it comes as no surprise because he has watched his dad treat his mother with the same love and respect.

This July I plan to spend most of the month in Austin. My ex sister-in-law and her daughter rented a lease and they want my grandson and me to join them. Since I am not able to make it to your book signing, I hope we can connect in July and you will do me the honor of signing it then. And, surely we can do it over dinner at one of your many favorite restaurants.

    1. Elva, thank you so much! We’d love to hang out with you in July, and take you to our favorite spots. It’s so good to hear from you! 🙂
