My lipstick habit.

So I have a problem. I buy too many lip products. Lip glosses, sheens, pencils, sticks, you name it. Every time I see a Burt’s Bees display, or I pass by the makeup section of Target, I buy something (I don’t buy any expensive stuff, so maybe that makes it better?) Here’s an example of what I found in my makeup drawer recently:

What’s even worse is that I have somehow purchased 84 bajillion lipsticks IN THE EXACT SAME COLOR. Behold:

I need help.

  1. This happens at our house with lip balm, too. My mom has banned the purchase of all lip balms and said “if you want it just go use what you have at home!” (But Mom, it’s COTTON CANDY flavoured!)

    1. Exactly! Or it sparkles, or it has a pretty package…

  2. That’s too funny. I love the little photo collage though; it’s so cute!

    1. 🙂 Thanks! That’s me laughing at myself because I actually thought they would all be different colors.

  3. I have the same problem except that I collect all shades of “nude.” It’s pretty ridiculous as most of them don’t even “color” my lips at all. Maybe there’s a lip products anonymous to help us all.

By the way I finally got up and headed to a post office to mail out your paperclips last night. So sorry for the wait!

    1. Right? I think I have one lipstick that’s actually red, aka a different color. And I never wear it.

Hooray for things in the mail! 🙂

  4. I love the last one! You’re sooo pretty!

    1. Awwww, thanks! You’re too sweet. 🙂

  5. I feel your pain. I have recently become hooked on Nivea’s line of lip glosses, balms, etc. This, of course, means that I must buy every shade available and have three or four rolling around in the bottom of my purse at all times.

    1. Nivea, you say? Please hold while I go buy a few… 🙂

  6. Ooh! Same problem. But I end up with a lot of glosses and balms that aren’t colored… and then wonder why I look so oddly pale in pictures. Sigh.

    1. I’m so glad to know I’m not the only out there with Obsessive Lipstuff Disorder.

  7. What color is that? I love it. I buy millions of chapstick because I manage to lose them all in different purses.

    Girl, you are gorgy.

    1. Hm, it’s burts bees fig, and clinique waterviolet, and co bigelow vintage rouge mint, and… Well I know the last one is revlon color stay ultimate in supreme sienna. That one actually stains your lips and stays on for a few hours. And thank you! You’re so sweet. 🙂

  8. Hi! I’m a new reader to your blog, just wanted to pop in and say hello (and also to say that I love that last lipstick shade! I haven’t worn makeup in ages-having to wear it onstage all the time as a performer kinda makes the novelty wear off faster-but I used to have an obsession too and think the color on that lipstick is so pretty!). 😀

    1. Thanks so much for stopping in! I think the last one’s my favorite too… It stays on the longest. 🙂

  9. haha! another Connie commented already. So strange.

At least you know what color works for you [and it works well!] I am so flummoxed by lipstick. Sometimes I buy some, but I never wear it.

    1. True… I now know that hot pink is not my thing. 🙂

  10. I love the last one as well! You’re adorable as always. I don’t have a lipstick problem, mine is mascara. I’m such a sucker when a new mascara product comes out and I’ll end up with a jillion different brands. I’ve had to make myself cut back it was too out of control.

    1. Aw, shucks. 🙂 Mascara, huh? Maybe I can cure my lipstick habit by developing a mascara habit?
