More skirts!

Okay, I think I need to lay off the skirts for a while, for mine and Lindsay’s sake (or more accurately, for the sake of our over-stuffed closets). I made these two for her from some fabric she chose from my fabric stash. I used the same Simplicity 5505 pattern, and they were so quick and easy. The brown skirt is made from a thin, flowy fabric…I think I have just enough left for a scarf.

I’ve had this yellow fabric for ages, and have never found anything great to do with it. The skirt turned out well, and I still have some fabric left…any suggestions/ideas on what to do with it? The edging is just too pretty to cut off.

I’ve actually been pretty crafty lately…I’ve got a few more things for show-and-tell, and some new recipes…I’ve been cooking, too! It’s usually one or the other (or neither), but I’ve had more energy lately, and more time to create.

On a completely unrelated note, we went to the theater to see Cars last night. Soooo cute! Dad, if you’re reading this, you HAVE to go see it. You. Will. Love it.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

  5. Weezie, what a cool link! Thanks for sharing. Chanit, I think you’re right…and I’ve been wanting to sew white clothing, but I’m trying to use up fabric that I have. I’ve been eyeing white eyelet fabric at the fabric store for weeks… 🙂
