Pork and Pink

Last night I cooked dinner for the first time in forever. It was lovely to be back in the kitchen with my trusty sous chef, a gin cocktail, and great music. We really loved these Vietnamese pork chops, and the Shirazi salad was so fresh and fantastic. Yay summer!

It’s been a long time since I’ve cooked meat at home, but after these perfect pork chops, I think I’ll be doing it more often.

I also forgot to post a link to this little video I was in.

I can’t believe my hair was so purple! It’s now super pink:

Anyway, I hope you’re all having a great week!

  1. Looks delicious, especially that salad!

Was your dye permanent or temporary? How long does it actually last?

    1. It’s permanent – it’s bleached, then dyed. Joey used a vegetable-based dye, so it rinsed out pretty quickly. The dark purple lasted maybe 2 weeks? It started slowly getting lighter, and once it hit pink, I just started washing it every day to see how pink it would get. Today I’m dying it again! Not sure what color though. 🙂

      1. Both the purple and pink looked truly lovely on you. What did you end up going with this time?

      2. It’s kind of an all over plum, with a few pink strands left in. Though it fades so fast – I just wash my hair too often to keep a color in long. 🙂
