Picking up burrata and ciabatta from Antonelli’s, and giggling on the way home because they rhyme.

Me: It’s hot outside.

Him: It’s a hundred and f*ck.

2 1/2-year old Opal, as she tries to use her fork to eat her rice: Mom, can you help my rice?

Me: I’m really nervous that I’m becoming the crazy cat lady.

Him: Well, at least you’re a hot crazy cat lady.

Me: So, the guy who plays Neville Longbottom is kinda gorgeous now.

Him: He’s Neville Hot-bottom?

Him: Last night I had a dream that you were naked in the Oval Office. I asked you why, and you said, “It’s just so wonderful to be in here, I just wanted to soak it all up.”

  1. Things…

    1. Will you share your meat sauce recipe?!
    2. I saw that bumper sticker at Half Price Books on Lamar a few weeks ago! Snickered to myself slash out loud.
    3. I’ve had that SAME conversation about Neville with countless people who were into the HP thing way before I got into it like 4 weeks ago. Hilarious.

  2. LOL… you’re both too lovely 🙂

  3. That’s can you wanna help my rice? 🙂

  4. HAHAHAHHA “it’s a hundred and f*ck”… it’s raining outside right now though -_-

  5. So glad to bring you all some smiles. Linds, I love it!

Liz, here it is: Brown ground beef and drain. Stir in Rao’s Marinara Sauce. Sad, but true… this is my favorite brand of pasta sauce, and I like it better than those that I’ve made. 🙂

Wei-Wei, send us some of your rain!

    1. Oh good! I’m glad to know to try that kind! I have yet to find a “straight out of the jar” sauce I love, but no judgment here! I TRY to find one… just haven’t yet. Will try Rao’s!

  6. Aw! My first time on in a while, and happy anniversary, and happy new book!!!!, and happy… a hundred and fuck. Frowning at the Austin summer.

  7. These made me smile too! And giggle a little. Love it!
