What I Wore: Thursday

  • Shirt: Gap
  • Skirt: Anna Sui (Moss)
  • Shoes: Very Volatile (Stella Says Go)
  • Necklace: from a friend’s jewelry party – I can’t remember the brand

We took this photo in the bright afternoon sun, in front of F&D. (Note to self: no photos in the bright afternoon sun.) Also, I need to learn to stand up straight (Mom, I still haven’t learned). I’m just not comfortable in front of the camera! And I’m not familiar with the many street-style poses that come so natural to some. I’m good at “woman lugging purse and sweater and coffee and heavy bag of cameras to car” and “woman washing dishes” and “woman embarrassed to be having her photo taken.”

Anyway, I love this skirt – it’s my Minnie Mouse skirt. Today I spilled coffee on it. Everyone please say a prayer that it comes out, because I would be devastated if it didn’t.

    1. Aw, thank you! I had never thought of my style as feminine before, but I guess it is!

  2. Adorable. Love you!

  3. These are great and you are adorable! I would love to do something similar, but I only have four tops and four bottoms. It would get boring pretty quickly…

    1. Thanks! You could take daily photos in front of something funky… or try on hats (but don’t buy them)… or… you could just come home. 🙂

  4. i can relate to your discomfort — i feel the same when i pose anywhere in public (or in private for that matter, really). in any case, i think you look darling and your outfit is simply smashing — i’m in love with your minnie mouse skirt!

    1. Thank you! I am NOT liking being in front of the camera, so this is seriously challenging for me. 🙂

  5. I totally thought Minnie Mouse as soon as I saw this! <3

  6. You are a pretty woman. I want you to wear bright red lipstick (like your toe nail color).
(Gawd, I must sound like a pervert.)

    1. Aw, thank you! I am always trying to find the perfect red lipstick – but I’m never brave enough to wear it. Maybe now I will… 🙂
