Bombay Bistro

A few images from a recent dinner atΒ Bombay Bistro. Everything was delicious.

Yesterday I took a half-day off work and we drove to Blanco. We toured the Real Ale Brewery and tasted some beer (Firemans #4 is still my favorite), then laid out on a blanket at Blanco State Park. I dipped my feet in the water and it was cooooooold. Then we visited Justin’s parents, and spent the night with them. This morning they made us breakfast, then we drove on to Marble Falls, to visit the harvest festival at Sweet Berry Farm. It was a zoo – three bajillion people and their kids running around and taking photos and buying pumpkins and taking hay rides and painting faces. We went into the giant Texas-shaped cornfield maze, but didn’t make it very far before we got overheated and decided to head home. I took some photos with my Yashica, hopefully they turn out well.

Now we’re snuggled on the couch watching football and dozing off. It’s been a great weekend so far, and it’s not even over yet!

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend, too.

  1. What a fantastic weekend so far!! Your cocktail looks yummy and there’s nothing better than watching football with your hubby. Mine is hunting this weekend so I have free reign over flipping between games (and sports… watching the Rangers, too!). That’s not too bad either! πŸ™‚

I’m loving reading about your book adventures. How awesome that you have such an amazing opportunity!!

Tell your lovely man I said hello! πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks, Liz! Hope you’ve had a relaxing weekend. Justin says hi, too. πŸ™‚

  2. Mmmmm. Sometimes the best just doesn’t need words. Where’s the Justin in a corner photo?!

    1. Ha! I think I took one and it didn’t come out great. I love that you noticed it was missing! πŸ™‚

  3. Yes, so glad you liked Bombay Bistro!

We drove out to the hill country this weekend too. We stayed at a bed & breakfast in Kerrville called “Trails End Guesthouse” or something like that. It was so great–there was a two-person tub in the room and they deliver a gigantic delicious homemade breakfast to your room in the morning so you can eat in bed. We just read and relaxed and looked at stars and watched old movies and did pretty much nothing. I think you need to go there as soon as you’re done with the book so that you can unwind. It was seriously great!

    1. That sounds lovely! So glad you two got to get away for a bit.
