A really good cookbook

June 24, 2010

Okay, so it’s official. I have a new favorite cookbook: The Best Simple Recipes from America’s Test Kitchen. Everything I’ve made from it has been delicious, and fun and simple to prepare. We’ve tried:

Chicken tettrazini, posted here

Quick-pickled red onions for tacos, posted here

Skillet Chicken Tikka Masala

Lemon Chicken with Artichokes and Potatoes

Pasta with Sun-Dried Tomato Vodka Sauce

Every recipe has been really great. I highly recommend that you check it out! :)

A “cookbook” I would love to own is “How to Cook Everything”. I like to have one recipe that has endless modifications and add-ins; it makes me feel creative and it’s also something I can fall back on. This cookbook sounds great, though! :)

You know, I don’t have the How to Cook Everything book, but I do have the iPhone app, and I LOVE. It has all the recipes from the book, and is searchable and even has videos. It rocks!

  2. looks fantastic. i may just have to check it out.
