Quick chocolate pudding

Next time you’re craving something chocolatey, whip up this dangerously easy pudding. Below is a super-precise recipe. (Kidding.) Also, kitty cats like to sit next to you when you eat pudding, or anything milk-based. That’s just how it goes.

Microwave Chocolate Pudding for One

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (or butterscotch chips, or mint chocolate chips, or…)

In a small bowl, whisk together the milk, cornstarch and salt until the cornstarch is fully dissolved. Stir in the chocolate chips. Microwave uncovered for about a minute (depending on your microwave’s wattage… ours is a teeny 770 watt), and check to see if the chocolate is melted. If not, microwave a little more until it is, then stir it all up. (Make sure it’s all stirred up and melted, or you’ll have lumps of unmelted chocolate in your pudding like I did, and then Justin will say, “Ew, it’s lumpy.”) Then microwave it maybe 30 seconds more, until it thickens a bit, and stir it up. You can eat it warm or cold.

Makes 1 serving.

  1. is this your kitty cat? so adorable!

    1. It is, and thank you! This is Roux, our older kitty. He’s kind of a grumpy old man. We also have a little black kitty named Little. She’s super shy and HATES the camera. 🙂

  2. I also think that cat is adorable. I’ve been wanting a cat for the longest time :(.

    1. Thanks, Connie! I’ll give Roux an extra kiss for you. 🙂 I hope you get to have a kitty cat soon!
